Your Prescription is Praise.
Last month I woke up with cold symptoms, my chest was aching; I had a scratchy throat and a cough. I laid my head back on my pillow, put my hand on my chest and begin to pray as the Lord spoke to me these 4 words “Your prescription is praise”. I got up went to the keyboard and began to worship God for nearly two hours and every symptom left, not to come back again, thank you Jesus!
Often times when our bodies come under attack we run to the doctor and/or treat the symptoms with medicine, but God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3), and through prayer, praise, the word of God and worship the spirit afflicting you has to GO!
Praise should be a lifestyle for every believer, because the one who fails to pray becomes the prey!
1 Peter 5:8 & 9
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. NKJV
The enemy of our soul is relentless and constantly seeking lives to afflict, torment, wound and destroy (John 10:10).
Look at the medications they advertise on commercials, take note of ALL the side effects, wow, that alone should make you want to just pray!
We have to stop treating symptoms and take them to the Lord in prayer, prayer is so powerful and sometimes we see instant results, sometimes gradual results, sometimes ultimate results (heaven), but God always responds to our prayers. Amen.
In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Look at verse 10 “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”
There is no sickness in heaven, bo pain, no colds, no flu, no mumps, no cancer, no diseases so this passage alone is a reminder to me that I don’t have to accept what the enemy is trying to put on me or in me and through worship the enemy of sickness must flee in Jesus name!
A woman called me yesterday asking me did I hear about the kids in Auburn who have the mumps. She too had mumps symptoms and before the call ended we went into prayer and within 5 minutes of that prayer every symptom had left her body, thank You Jesus!
Whatever battle you are in remember “the battle is not yours, it’s the Lords” so trust Him in the fight to protect you, keep you, heal you, and deliver you from the enemy of sickness in Jesus name.
Paul & Silas were occupying a prison cell and when they prayed it made great impact, shaking the very foundations of the prison walls, in short heaven responded…
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. KJV
Take a close look at the words “Suddenly” and “Immediately” it is time for your “Suddenly” your “Immediately”, it’s time for every door to open for you who are standing firm in the faith, expect your miracle, know that by Christ stripes you were already healed (1 Peter 2:24), only believe!
As for sickness of any kind remember the first sign of a symptom, pain, lump, bump, bruise, weird sensation, numbness, tightness, dryness, itch or anything else that is not normal take authority over it immediately. If I had just laid down and tried to rest those symptoms away as I have done so many times before they would have gotten worse, stand up and put the enemy in his rightful place, under your feet, in Jesus name!
Forgiveness and healing go hand in hand.
Two weeks ago while in California, I prayed for a man who had multiple issues with his legs and feet due to a car accident which claimed the life of his wife. It was very painful for him to walk because he said there was a bone sticking out of his left foot. We prayed and not much happened, we prayed again and still the same as the Lord quickened me to have him forgive anyone who had hurt him, his head dropped in silence, that was it! He was holding onto UN-forgiveness and it was holding him captive!
I am reminded of Jesus on the cross (Mark Chapter 15), He laid down His life for the sins of the world. He was beaten, mocked, spit on, crowned with thorns, the soldiers even cast lots over His garment, and yet He still loved everyone and when He spoke (with blood dripping from many wounds sustained) all He could say was “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”
I did not ask this man who he felt had wronged him, I stressed the fact that not forgiving them was keeping him from his own healing, finally he put his head up and allowed me to walk him through the prayer of forgiveness, then we prayed again as he said he felt something move. The Holy Spirit of God had moved that bone back into place and removed ALL pain, thank You Jesus! He began to walk normal, no limp just a BIG smile and thankful heart unto the Lord for healing him, spirit, body, and wounded soul.
Two Sundays ago in Canada while praying for a woman who had pain in her body and knees a little 5 year old girl was watching and after I finished praying the little girl followed me to my seat. I talked to the little girl who didn’t say anything she just listened. I sat down as she was still standing there with me and the Lord spoke to me that she had pain in her body so I asked her if she had pain and she shook her head yes, I said where is it? She pointed to both feet and in the midst of prayer the Holy Spirit took ALL pain suddenly. When I asked her was all pain gone with a BIG smile she shook her head yes, thank You Lord!
I began this testimonial with the story of a man who had difficulty forgiving and a little girl who simply hand a humbled heart. We can learn so much from children, they love, forgive, are excited to help, hold no grudges and know no hate unless taught otherwise. We on the other hand have had extended years in life to go through things which have helped in the molding and shaping process of our lives (good or bad). Some are having difficulty forgiving others, releasing others, even loving others because of a deep wounds and God is saying “Let it go!”
Matthew 18:2-4 Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, 3 and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. NKJV
Matthew 6:14-15 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. NKJV
No one’s is worth you being sick over and surely not going to hell for, let it go!
Believe and you shall receive...
God wants to heal, but for some “Unless they see signs and wonders, they won’t believe” John 4:48
Every day we look for opportunities to pray for the lost as well as the sick and each week we witness new testimonies to share of Gods sustaining grace! We prayed for the sick in the park last Saturday and God healed them but there was an older man who had pain throughout his body, he did not believe healing was for today, he was a Christian who believed healing was done away with with the disciples. He really tried to convince us that God no longer heals so we asked him if God would take the pain from his body would he believe then? He did not answer immediately but finally said "Yes" and God did what only He can do. This man walked away healed, his head hung down smiling with a puzzled look on his face, truth is God wants to heal, sometimes he heals instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes ultimately (heaven) without a doubt always. He wants to heal us spirit, body and soul.
3 John 2-3
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. NKJV
Healing in the Park
Last month we went to Wrights Park to feed the homeless and to our surprise there were more homeless youth than adults. I asked one of the girls if she would like something to eat, she said yes and the others looking on began to join us. The youngest was said to be 14 and the oldest 23. The 23 year old would sit on his bike until he spotted a homeless person and he would go get them. We had time to feed them, speak into their lives and pray for the ones who needed healing.
One young man’s chest had been numb and cold for a while and the medication he was on was not working. Gerald laid his hand upon his chest and as we prayed all feeling and warmth was restored, thank You Jesus!! The first young lady who wanted something to eat was experiencing abdominal pains and completely healed as our team laid hands and prayed for her.
Our team worked overtime serving these youth and Rachel Johnston went and found some more young adults who were not homeless but open to someone taking time to speak an encouraging word into them and not only that but taking time to sincerely listen as they shared their hearts.
We had blankets, they had a need to keep warm, we had food, they had a need to be fed, we had hot tea and juice, they had a thirst to quench, we had compassion, they had a need to be loved, we had everything because we have Jesus, this is a good place to take a Praise break, Amen! Thank You Lord!!
Wanted Dead and Alive!
Dead to the lust of our flesh, Alive to the things of God!
God is looking for yielded vessels He can freely flow through, is that you? So many of His children go through life each day bored, many say “I just want God to use me” which simply means you are waiting for some sort of door to open to be used, truth is every day you step out your front door you are on the mission field and there is much work to be done! Many of you are waiting for man to open a door for you but the word of God says…
“I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it:” Revelation 3:8
Begin where you are today, ministry begins at home so take care of first things first then allow God to use your life wherever you go. Since March 30th every single day (accept for last Sunday) I make it a point each day to go into department stores and find people riding those scooters or just in need of prayer and asked to pray for them only to witness God heal them as only He can. 95% of them are in pain, many suffering from Chronic pain and within seconds ALL pain is gone! Our daughter said, “Mom you don’t go to the store to buy food anymore, you only go to pray for people” , for those of you wondering do I feed our child? YES! But I am “Making full proof of my ministry!”.
Forever In His Service,
"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' 40 And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' NKJV
Truly we have witnessed a beautiful portrait of God's grace extended and lives changed for His glory, Amen!
Nearly everyday in from the stores to the streets we find people to pray for and share the goodness of Jesus with them.
